Who we are
International Burundian Women Organization is a global team of Burundians united by a shared commitment to keep the cultural values of our homeland alive for young people growing up around the world.
IBWO launched in November 2023 with an action plan to equip youth with tools for better life decisions, strengthen cultural identity and support families through the transition of immigration.
Our vision
We support one another as parents and caregivers in guiding young people toward a dignified future. We aim to help protect youth from harmful pathways while building belonging, confidence and connection to culture.
Our mission
We connect youth and families with role models, mentors, community leaders and health professionals. Through education and community, we help young people build healthier relationships and stay connected to their heritage.

We believe every young person can learn, embrace culture and uphold values that strengthen families and communities. We welcome diversity and collaboration across countries and generations.
